It seems to moi that some Taiwanese dramas (eg. Hot Shot and Jay Chou's Kung Fu Dunk) about basketball are heavily influenced by the Japanese manga, Slam Dunk.
The red hair guy is樱木花道.
It will go something like this: A lead character (like 樱木花道 in Slam Dunk), who knows nothing about basketball but has a passion for basketball. He will be very arrogant and think he's always the best, acting like an idiot. (Haha!) As he joins a basketball team, his hidden flairs are displayed where he has the ability to jump very high (used to catch the rebound ball), unbelievable strength, high learning ability and blahh.. -.-
Kung Fu Dunk even copied 1 of the lines from Slam Dunk (Forgot which was it.. =X) and claimed that they were inspired by it. Whatever~ Haha. That movie was really sian.
In 篮球火, 小猪 (Show 罗志祥) is acting as that idiot and a love craze. He even patently copied one of the weird move of defensing invented by 樱木花道 in Slam Dunk! How dare you! Haha!
小猪 also imitated this 招牌动作 of 樱木花道! He looks pretty idiotic here right? But I still like him! Haha!
Although there are some similarities to Slam Dunk and the same exaggerated flying dunking moves like in Kung Fu Dunk, 篮球火 still has some original plot to it. I'm still watching and I wonder who will be with the girl in the end? 小猪 or Jerry (言承旭)? Oh, 吴尊 is a mysterious basketball pro in the show. He has so little scenes! I read that he was from the national basketball team back in Brunei!!

Yamapi, Toda Erika, Aragaki Yui.
It's really touching! I'm touched to tears. *sniff* At the same time, it's funny in the scenes with the doctor in specs. The story goes like this: A group of intern doctors will perform first aid and bring the injuired people back to the hospital via the helicopter in the shortest possible time. I didn't know the first 8 minutes (Or was is 10?) is vital for the injuired person, which could determine his life or death.
Yamapi in the center!
There's 1 scene where Yamapi (Aizawa sensei) tried to resuscitate a patient from cardic arrest at the accident area. The patient did not seem to respond and everything like the blood pressure (Erm, I assume those numbers on the machines are the blood pressure rate? Erm, or heart rate ah? =X) and breathing were decreasing. And then, Yamapi suddenly hit him with a punch at the heart. ... And.. And? And?? His heart beat came back!
Chotto matte! I've seen this scene before! -.- I think it's from another Japanese drama about doctors, Iryu (医龍)! Haha! It's on the advertisement for that "must pay"channel.

Watched Hana Yori Dango Final (da movie) with Shi Yun, Janice, Fiona, Xiao Xuan and Su Bing the other day. Yep, the Japanese version of Meteor Garden. This is really a big production man! They went to Las Vegas and Hong Kong to shoot the scenes. This really looks like a movie. Normally, (Sorry to say this, but..) Japanese movie made after the same drama is pretty much like a Special than a movie. (eg. Kurosagi, Hero & Unfair).
The beginning of HYDF was so exciting like some action-packed movie. You see Matsumoto Jun kicking some baddies' ass in the hotel hallway and kitchen. Haha. Shi Yun guessed the part right about who stole the tiara while we were watching. Haha. So the ending was a bit -.- Haha. And.. So romantic when the ending of the last episode of HYD 1 was shown in the movie. Yesh, when they are kissing in the sunset. Awww~ Haha.

Went to the Natsu Matsuri (Japanese Summer Festival) with my sister and her friend some time back. Louisa, Janice, Fiona and Xiao Xuan were also there.

My sister and I wanted to wear the yukata that was available for rent at the event. But we arrived too late and all were snatched up lah. So disappointed! Next year, I'll go early to queue! Haha! We ate some Japanese food and played some games there. Actually it's like a pasar malam, just that it's a Japanese one. Haha.
At one of the game stalls, I saw a hilarious scene. The game goes like this: You must try to "catch" the things in the pool with a paper net. The key is to "catch" the things without the paper net being torn. There was a Singaporean boy boy there trying with all his might to grab all the tiny dinosaurs floating in the pool. He had tonnes of it caught by his paper net. My sister, her friend and I were like "OMG! How did he do that?" Finally, his paper net broke. He brought his mountain of dinosaurs to the game master. The Japanese man was surprised. He smiled at him and put up his 3 fingers and told him in Japanese that he could only take 3 of it. The boy boy, clearly not understanding what the Japanese man said was waiting to redemn his prize.
Looking at this sight, we all laughed. The Japanese man kept telling him to choose only 3, but the boy boy wouldn't budge to give up his treasure. Then came Caiying to the rescue! I explained to him that he could only take 3 of the dinosaurs. He then reluntantly chose 3 dinosaurs out of his mountain of dinosaurs. The Japanese man and I smiled. Hah!
Oh! I saw Angela from Nan Hua the same day! Should be she saw moi. =X Haha. She recognised moi without specs! Hah!

The person you are talking and laughing with now feels so comfortable. Can you imagine seeing the same person again few years later after no contact? He/she would be different. Anyway, the focus of this entry is to prove there is fashion for guys, or rather what I've observed walking around Orchard Road. And.. I was feeling bored and wanted to draw something, so I thought of this. =X
The following styles' Age Group: Erm, 18-19 and above? Below 30.
DISCLAMIER: This list is not exhaustive, of course. I don't intend to coverall type of clothes, but only some style which I find it nice or that flashed across my mind. (=
Some of my models below are faceless/fingerless. Too lazy to draw them. Gomen~
Style A
3/4 sleeve shirt, tucked in (long sleeve shirt folded to 3/4 length) + bermudas (length just at your knees)+ belt (plain one will do) + shoes (erm, leather shoes? I don't know the name for the type of shoes I've drawn. Just refer to the picture. =x)
I think low wasited bermudas will look nice with this combination. Ah! You may also add a skinny tie hanging loose!
Thin strips shirts are in fashion now! These shirts can be used for formal occasion or simply worn casually like the above.
Plain white/thin strips bermudas are in fashion now too! Or if you like, you can get a pair of checkered bermudas. (=
Style B
3/4 sleeve shirt, tucked out + bermudas (Yesh, again the length at your knees)
The cutting at the bottom of the shirt is there for a reason as it will look nicer when you tuck out your shirt. You may opt for a slim cut shirt instead of a staight cut shirt for the same reason.
This is something simple which is casual yet make you look smart at the same time. Haha!
Style C
Short sleeve shirt, tucked out + bermudas
Yesh, it's bermudas again! Bermudas is so useful and comfortable for casual wear!
Due to Singapore's hot climate, you may choose a short sleeve shirt. I prefer looking at a long sleeve shirt, folded at 3/4 length as short sleeve will make you look too much like an ojisan (uncle). Of course, it depends on what design your shirt have. If it looks young, I don't see why a short sleeve shirt will not be nice. (=
Style D
Polo tee + bermudas
Before I drew his face, he looked as if he's going to play golf just by looking at the upper part of his body. =X Haha. But it looks okay now, right?
Polo tee:
1) Normal ones with single colour, without strips at sleeve/collar 2) Strips at sleeve/collar (like what I've drawn above)
Anyway, talking about polo tees. Thick horizontal strips design are sooo out of fashion. Erm, that's the fashion for 2/3 years ago? Thin horizontal strips are the in thing now!
Style E
3/4 sleeve shirt, tucked in + jeans (skinny jeans OR simply black/dark blue jeans. NO blue/light blue jeans please!) + belt + shoes (sneakers/Adidas, Nike, Converse shorts [Running shoes or not]. Please, no slippers! Hah!)
Of course the above 3/4 sleeve shirt or short sleeve shirt, tucked out with jeans. But not with light blue/blue jeans, they give you the ojisan (uncle) look. It looks nicer with black/dark black blue jeans.
